Here is the second story I have for you today. It isn't exactly a story, but a way I see the world. Anyone agree with me after reading this? Well, I'll let you get to that part now, but please don't respond negatively. But, as always, please enjoy [:
Everyone in this world has their own opinion, that is my philosophy, and although this may be true, it is also true that they only see in two forms, black and white. These types of people are very judgemental, to them; you are either right or wrong. These people are also usually very high in society, or have a very high social status. They use their opinionated claims to try and run our lives. These people make decisions that benefit their party, but may not necessarily everyone else. They think they’re the smartest ones of all, and that they know everything, but the truth is, they don’t. One sided people often lack ability, the ability to see the truth. They can’t accept other ideas, because they are fixed on the thought that their idea is right.
The truth comes in many forms, it can be either white or black, but it is often in the grey scale. But people who think like this, are blind to the grey scale, they refuse to think outside their box. The box is much appreciated by one sided thinkers, it keeps them in check, gives them a sense of what is “normal”, but there is no such thing as normal. To them, they are normal, and we are the abnormal ones, they don’t like anything out of the norm.
People think very differently from others, but with every word that comes out of their mouth, it’s going to take a side. This is as clear as night and day to the “black and white” thinkers, you have to take a side. This is where criticism and insults come from. Criticism is where you stand on the grey side, and someone from a certain side tries to give you “advice”. This advice is just their way of pulling you out of the grey and onto their side fully. Insults are where two people from opposing sides exchange rude comments because they think their side is the one true side, and the other is wrong.
Now, us people in the grey scale, we see more than one side, we don’t like to be stuck in a box, but society dictates that we remain on the side they think is good, and to not tread into the dangerous areas of grey. We don’t like logic, because all logic can be questioned, and we like to question. We also don’t like being wrong because even though we may know that we aren’t 100% right, we aren’t entirely wrong either.
I know that those of you who are reading this stand on a certain side, and if you stand on either the black or white sides, I know you won’t accept what I’m suggesting. But please just consider it, if everyone moved to the grey scale, we wouldn’t need to have pointless arguments, and we could live in harmony. So please, stop your complaining and bitter judgements, because the world does not exist in only black and white.
