Black and White

Here is the second story I have for you today. It isn't exactly a story, but a way I see the world. Anyone agree with me after reading this? Well, I'll let you get to that part now, but please don't respond negatively. But, as always, please enjoy [:
Everyone in this world has their own opinion, that is my philosophy, and although this may be true, it is also true that they only see in two forms, black and white. These types of people are very judgemental, to them; you are either right or wrong. These people are also usually very high in society, or have a very high social status. They use their opinionated claims to try and run our lives. These people make decisions that benefit their party, but may not necessarily everyone else. They think they’re the smartest ones of all, and that they know everything, but the truth is, they don’t. One sided people often lack ability, the ability to see the truth. They can’t accept other ideas, because they are fixed on the thought that their idea is right.
The truth comes in many forms, it can be either white or black, but it is often in the grey scale. But people who think like this, are blind to the grey scale, they refuse to think outside their box. The box is much appreciated by one sided thinkers, it keeps them in check, gives them a sense of what is “normal”, but there is no such thing as normal. To them, they are normal, and we are the abnormal ones, they don’t like anything out of the norm.
People think very differently from others, but with every word that comes out of their mouth, it’s going to take a side. This is as clear as night and day to the “black and white” thinkers, you have to take a side. This is where criticism and insults come from.  Criticism is where you stand on the grey side, and someone from a certain side tries to give you “advice”. This advice is just their way of pulling you out of the grey and onto their side fully. Insults are where two people from opposing sides exchange rude comments because they think their side is the one true side, and the other is wrong.
Now, us people in the grey scale, we see more than one side, we don’t like to be stuck in a box, but society dictates that we remain on the side they think is good, and to not tread into the dangerous areas of grey. We don’t like logic, because all logic can be questioned, and we like to question. We also don’t like being wrong because even though we may know that we aren’t 100% right, we aren’t entirely wrong either.
I know that those of you who are reading this stand on a certain side, and if you stand on either the black or white sides, I know you won’t accept what I’m suggesting. But please just consider it, if everyone moved to the grey scale, we wouldn’t need to have pointless arguments, and we could live in harmony. So please, stop your complaining and bitter judgements, because the world does not exist in only black and white.

In the Mindnight Forest

I hope you really like this story because I really enjoyed writing it (even though it took like five minutes). In my opinion, it could be one of my best stories :) Please enjoy ~

The rain pitter-pattered on my head, in sync with every step I took. Lost, I guess that was one way you could describe my situation. But I wasn’t really lost; I had run away from what would’ve been my horrible fate. Now, I was completely alone in the dark forest. Who knew what kinds of creatures lurked in these areas, waiting for an unsuspecting victim? I erased those thoughts from my head as I kept going on, each step resulting in a soft crunch from a dried up autumn leaf.
At least it was quiet here, but a little too quiet for my liking. There were no wolves howling at the full moon, no toads croaking in the pond, not a single cricket dared chirp. I stopped at the pond, grey and murky from all the ashes and pollution. This was fowl doing of our society, exactly what I had run away from, chaos and destruction. If I had ever thought about going back, this set my mind straight on why I should stay away. I wasn’t ever going back; I wasn’t going to be a goner like the rest of them.
These thoughts fluttered about in my head as I kept walking. Walking, walking in a forest that never seemed to end. The further I explored, the more lost I became, becoming entangled in the maze of trees and shrubs, forever trapped amongst the burnt foliage.
Suddenly, a noise alerted my senses. There was a voice, voices, the very ones that had driven me out of my house, away from my family forever. That’s when I began to run, my heart pounding in my chest, my pulse quickening with each step. I knew they were getting closer, with each fumble or fault I made; they were a step closer to catching me. They were nearing, approaching faster and faster, knowing I couldn’t outrun them. So I stopped, stopped and stood, and nothing more. It was my time, time to accept my fate, time to join my family and friends.
Dark figures appeared from behind the bushes. They laughed, they poked at me, but I didn’t move an inch. Then their leader approached, with pure hatred in his tone.
“This won’t take long,” he smirked. Beady red eyes stared me, eyes filled with nothing but pure, sinister evil. A gun was pulled, a shot was fired, and another one fell to the floor.
In the midnight forest, not a sound was heard, not even a scream.

Sweet Insanity

Here's the second story I have. I hope this keeps you entertained 'till I get some new ones up ~

I awoke to the sound of jack-hammers pounding away at the cement below my apartment building. The sound made me quickly pull the covers over my head and barricade myself with pillows. I could never get enough sleep due to the fact that there was always construction going on outside. I guess that was the price I paid for choosing one of the poorest neighbourhoods in the city. Money was scarce as is due to the economy and I planned to save every single penny I’d ever earned. I was a small person so food was never an issue. I grew up on the streets with my older brother, well; he used to be my older brother. Now, he resides in a cheap wooden casket 10 feet in the ground. We never knew of our parent’s whereabouts, but we didn’t care. I didn’t want anything to do with any heartless person who would throw their children on the streets, to fend for themselves. So here I am 17 years later, all alone. I had lost all family I’d ever had. Some days I feel as if I’ve lost all humanity left in me.
If it weren’t for that careless drunk trucker, my brother would still be here with me right now. At age 14 I had no education, no proper clothes, nothing even close to a normal childhood. But I had him, and even that was taken away from me. We would’ve sued, but I couldn’t risk it. We weren’t of legal age and my brother did not want to land me in a foster home. His last words to me were: “I want you to know, that even though I won’t be here anymore, you’ll never be alone.” I could never figure out the message behind his words, but I know they meant something deep. No matter how many times I remind myself that, I can’t help but think I am alone, because he left me, left me to fend for myself. I had no real job, but the food bank supported me enough and when I was 18, I could get one in our modern day life.
I dragged my sorry butt out of bed and to the pantry to eat a measly piece of bread with a sip of orange juice. There was nothing the world could offer me. Then the idea hit me, I could be with my brother. My eyes widened and my lips stretched into a mischievous smile. I quickly throw on some clothes other than my P.J’s and raced outside. I hadn’t done my hair or brushed my teeth, granting me horrified looks from people outside. There, my eyes landed on the massive bridge towering at least 100 feet off the ground. I had never learned how to swim; there was no one to teach me, and no equipment for which to learn. I carefully perched myself on the thin railing. I turned to look down at the people from below, some pointing, and some shouting for me to get down. I know my brother wouldn’t have liked for me to go this way, shame me for what I am doing. When life gets tough the tough get going, he would always say.
In a matter of minutes, camera crews, police men, firemen, and helicopters had been assembled. Some surly man was yelling at me through a blow horn, telling me to “get down from there immediately”. There was a part of me that wanted to get back down, and return to… Return to what? There was nothing left for me to return to. And I guess that out of pure, sweet insanity, I jumped.

Picture Perfect

Sorry, I realized I only had two saved :P Well here's the first one anyways. I hope you like it :) ~
The cold nipped at my un-gloved fingers as I stepped out of the car. It was the perfect landscape; something photographers would only dream of feasting their eyes upon. It was truly a fairy-tale scene. The trees seemed to sparkle in the light that reflected off their snow covered branches. Despite the cold weather, the lake hadn’t frozen over, but instead, shone a hue of greens and blues. My eyes widened at the frost covered flowers that somehow survived this cold, bitter climate. Sebastian, my assistant smiled as he climbed out the driver’s side. This was a special place that he had discovered as a child. It was a great honour that he would bring me here. I started to snap away at the beautiful water, whose colours seemed to contrast perfectly with the trees in this light.
As we moved further into the forest, the more it amazed me. Roots running through the ground in intricate patterns, weaving and wrapping around wonderfully coloured stones lining a crystal-clear pond, it all seemed too perfect to be real. In the waters reflection, I could see every single aspect of myself, from my blonde-streaked hair all the way down to my hiking boots. There were no fish in the pond, nothing, not even a single leaf dared disturb the calm water.
Past a drape of vines, hidden in the back of the woods, was a cliff, with a perfect view of the mountains. Their perfect peaks covered in a blanket of snow were like nothing I’ve ever seen before. I turned to Sebastian who only smiled, envious of anyone who could’ve had this beautiful landscape growing up. Picture after picture were spent capturing every angel of those mountains. I didn’t want to waste any time gazing out at this scenery.
After some hours, I looked over to see Sebastian sitting down, just staring. I was about to ask him what he was doing until I realized it, looking through the pictures, all of them came up blank. This beauty couldn’t be captured on camera; it was something for your eyes to enjoy. Setting my camera down, I sat down beside Sebastian to look at the descending sun. This, I thought, is a picture perfect moment.

Quizilla Gone? :O

Well, I originally just made this blog because of my friend and so far it has 13 views, not too bad, but I'd like to get more :] I will be posting more stories here from my Quizilla account: http://quizilla.teennick.com/my/profile Check it out as you please, and all that good stuff. I have series of stories there so I'm not uploading those to here because I want these to be readable in any order. Just, for your information, the two series are a do-it-yourself story, and another installment called "The Diary of My Death". There aren't that many of them up, so don't think you'll have a ton to entertain yourself but do read. Writing is something I do in my spare time and I do enjoy it :] I have polls and a poem on there too but I will only will post the shorts I have. So ya, if you're interested, the links the place to go. - Thanks
